MEC wins extended Transport for London media account
26/05/2016

MEC has won the consolidated media planning and buying account for Transport for London, Greater London Authority, London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance and London Metropolitan Police, Jason Dormieux, the MEC UK CEO has announced.

The agency has worked on TfL and GLA since 2005 and has now added London Ambulance, Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade.

The work includes all media planning and buying across offline and online channels, with an increased focus on digital and data-driven activity.

There will also be greater campaign consolidation, meaning fewer campaigns about bigger issues such as safety and investment, a reduction in the number of tactical campaigns and an increase in consolidated thematic activity.

Jason Dormieux, UK CEO at MEC, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be re-appointed by TfL and the GLA and to have been awarded additional briefs for the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance and London Fire Brigade. This was a hard fought contest with all competing agencies giving the very best of themselves, so to win through is truly thrilling for us.

“These organisations are critical to ensuring that London remains a fantastic and safe city in which to live, work and play. Ensuring that their messages effectively reach London’s millions of residents and visitors requires a highly sophisticated mix of data, technology and creative media planning. We’re excited at the prospect of being London’s media agency and meeting this challenge.”
