MEC supports the launch of the ‘State of Mind’ recruitment campaign for Royal Marines

MEC is delighted to announce it has completed its first piece of work for the Royal Navy by supporting the launch of a multi-channel national recruitment campaign for the Royal Marines Commandos.

The campaign spans across TV, online, cinema, social media and OOH. Created by WCRS, the State of Mind campaign spot features a member of a drug cartel having a vivid dream about the phenomenal strength and stealth of the Royal Marines Commandos, only to wake up and discover he is being arrested by members of the elite unit.

All advertising executions direct to a new website, created by e3, which features six online films produced by documentary film maker Max Fisher, bringing to life the Commando state of mind.

The communications strategy and media planning for the campaign was developed by MEC, who won the combined Royal Navy and RAF strategic communications and planning account in March.

Susanna Cousins, Comms Director, MEC, commented:  “We are delighted to be working closely in partnership with WCRS, e3 and the Royal Navy on the Royal Marine Commandos recruitment campaign. The project has enabled us to tell a strong, consistent story across all media which I’m sure will engage potential recruits and encourage them to visit the site.”
